As part of efforts to reach a broader audience I have worked on prototypes for APB: Vendetta. The target was a first-person arena-shooter where you play one of the various contacts in APB, each with their own arsonal and personality.

This prototype mainly focused on movement mechanics, including double-jumping, wall-jumping, wall-running, diving and rolling. It also had some focus on creating a good looking art-pipeline with some more modern tools. Starting from a stock UE3 (2012), we built up a decent prototype, until the project was cancelled in 2013.

Elements worked on

  • Looking into potential tool for easily updating UC files for designers.
  • Movement mechanics, including behavioural way of dealing with different movement states.
  • Added debug UI
